A lively serif with compact, slightly irregular contours and softly bracketed, flared serifs that feel carved rather than machined. Stroke endings often taper or notch into small wedge-like terminals, and curves show a subtly hand-worked edge that introduces gentle texture. Proportions are traditional and readable, with round counters and a moderate, old-style rhythm; capitals are sturdy and slightly wide, while lowercase forms maintain a steady line with distinctive, expressive joins.

Works well for display-oriented typography such as book titles, chapter openers, posters, and packaging where a vintage, crafted personality is desired. It can also support short to medium passages in editorial settings when printed at comfortable sizes, especially where a slightly rough, human touch is appropriate.

The overall tone is antiquarian and storybook-like, mixing historic bookishness with a faintly mischievous, hand-crafted charm. Its uneven details and pointed terminals give it a rustic, folkloric voice rather than a polished academic one.

The design appears intended to evoke an old-world, humanist serif tradition while deliberately preserving hand-made irregularities—using pointed, flared terminals and textured curves to create a distinctive, characterful voice.

In text, the font builds a strong, dark color with noticeable sparkle from the varied terminals and small internal notches, which adds character but can become busy at very small sizes. Numerals and capitals carry the same chiseled, decorative finishing, helping headings and short phrases feel cohesive and intentional.
