A sturdy slab-serif with heavy, block-like terminals and gently bracketed joins. Strokes stay largely even, with only subtle modulation, giving the letters a dense, strongly anchored color on the page. Counters are moderately open and shapes are broadly rounded in bowls (notably in C, G, O, e), while horizontals and slabs read as firm, rectangular accents. The lowercase shows a traditional, readable construction with a two-storey a and g, a short-armed t, and round dots on i and j; figures are weighty and straightforward with a prominent, rounded 8 and a compact 1.

Well-suited to headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where strong typographic presence is needed. It also works for editorial layouts, posters, and packaging that benefit from a traditional slab-serif voice and high ink coverage. In longer passages it can read comfortably at moderate sizes, especially with ample leading.

The tone is bold and assured, combining a classic print sensibility with a slightly softened, approachable finish. It evokes traditional editorial typography and institutional signage—serious, stable, and legible—without feeling overly delicate or high-fashion.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable, print-forward slab-serif voice with solid readability and a commanding presence. Its softened brackets and rounded forms suggest an aim to balance toughness with warmth for contemporary editorial and brand use.

Spacing appears generous for a display serif, helping the dense strokes avoid clogging in text. The serif treatment is consistent across caps and lowercase, and the overall rhythm favors strong verticals and clear word shapes, particularly in mixed-case settings.
