A heavy, block-built slab serif with broad proportions and a compact, squared silhouette. Serifs are thick and strongly integrated, with subtle bracketing and occasional notched/ink-trap-like joins that carve small triangular cuts at internal corners. Strokes are largely uniform with modest modulation, producing a dense color and steady rhythm; counters are round-to-oval but tightly contained by the weight. The lowercase is robust and workmanlike, with single-storey forms and short ascenders/descenders, keeping word shapes chunky and stable.

Best suited to display work where its heavy slabs and wide stance can carry impact: headlines, posters, event graphics, storefront or wayfinding signage, and bold packaging labels. It also works well for logo wordmarks and short, punchy statements where the compact counters won’t be stressed by long passages.

The overall tone feels bold and assertive, with a classic American display flavor that reads as collegiate, western, and utilitarian at the same time. Its mass and squared detailing create a confident, no-nonsense voice that signals tradition and toughness rather than delicacy.

The design appears intended as a high-impact slab serif for attention-grabbing typography, balancing traditional slab construction with small cut-in details to keep large black shapes from feeling overly blunt. Its proportions and sturdy terminals suggest a focus on strong readability at display sizes and an unmistakably bold, heritage-leaning personality.

The numerals match the uppercase in heft and presence, with rounded bowls and strong slab terminals that maintain a consistent, poster-ready texture. At text sizes the tight interior spaces make it feel dense, while at larger sizes the corner notches and bracket transitions become a defining character detail.
