This serif shows a high-contrast, oldstyle-to-transitional construction with crisp hairlines and firm, darker stems. Serifs are finely bracketed and often wedge-like, with sharp, clean terminals that give the outlines a precise, engraved character. The capitals are stately and relatively narrow with controlled modulation; rounds (C, O, Q) are smooth and slightly vertical-stress, while diagonals (V, W, X) are taut and elegant. Lowercase forms keep a traditional rhythm with a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a gently tapered f; counters are open and the spacing reads balanced for continuous text.

This face fits long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a classic, high-contrast serif voice is appropriate. It also performs well for refined headlines, pull quotes, and formal communication pieces such as programs, invitations, and institutional materials.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, with a distinctly bookish, editorial presence. Its sharp finishing and strong contrast add a sense of authority and refinement, suited to settings where formality and clarity are desired.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, high-contrast text serif with an elevated, print-classical character—combining a readable paragraph rhythm with sharper detailing that also supports display typography.

In the text sample, the design maintains a clean baseline and consistent color, with hairlines that stay delicate at display sizes and a sturdy enough core stroke to keep paragraphs from looking anemic. Numerals appear lining and proportional, matching the capitals’ formality and contrast.
