A heavy, display-oriented roman with pronounced stroke contrast and broad, blocky proportions. Curves are generously rounded and often terminate in soft, bracket-like flares that read as subtle serifs rather than sharp slabs, giving the silhouettes a carved, sculptural feel. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, with compact apertures in letters like a, e, and s, while bowls (B, P, R, 8, 9) appear full and slightly bulbous. Diagonals in V, W, X, and Y are stout and clean, and overall spacing feels sturdy and even, optimized for large sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and short blocks of text where high-impact letterforms are desirable. It works well for editorial branding, event and cultural posters, packaging, and book or album covers where a classic-but-punchy voice is needed. In long body copy, the dense counters and heavy color will generally favor larger sizes and generous leading.

The tone is assertive and traditional, with a newspaper-headline confidence and a touch of vintage poster drama. Its strong contrast and softened terminals add a refined, slightly ceremonial character, balancing gravitas with approachable roundness.

Designed to deliver maximum presence with a traditional editorial voice: strong contrast, rounded forms, and subtly flared terminals combine to create a bold, authoritative display style that remains readable and structured.

The lowercase shows oldstyle-like movement in its curves (notably in a, g, and y), while capitals stay more monumental and geometric. Numerals are bold and highly legible at display sizes, with the 8 and 9 emphasizing large bowls and tight joins, reinforcing the font’s dense, impactful color.
