A tightly condensed serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and a distinctly “stressed” (calligraphic) modulation that gives many rounds a slightly tilted, carved feel. Stems are straight and narrow, while joins and curves sharpen into tapered, knife-like terminals and fine hairlines. Serifs are small, crisp, and often wedge-like, with a generally vertical stance and a tall, elongated silhouette across capitals and figures. The lowercase keeps a moderate x-height but reads lean and wiry due to the narrow set and high-contrast rhythm.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and titling where its condensed, high-contrast forms can create a strong vertical impact. It can work for short editorial or literary lines, cover typography, and poster lettering, particularly when ample size and careful tracking are available to preserve the fine hairlines.

The overall tone is poised and dramatic, balancing refined editorial polish with a slightly gothic, vintage flair. Its sharp terminals and taut proportions add intensity and a sense of ceremony, suggesting fashion, cultural, or literary contexts rather than everyday neutrality.

The design appears intended to deliver a sophisticated, condensed display serif that feels calligraphically informed—combining sharp, tapered detailing with classic serif structure to create striking, space-efficient typography for editorial and promotional use.

The narrow width amplifies verticality and makes spacing and counters feel tight; the liveliness comes from the stress and tapering more than from ornament. Numerals and capitals appear especially tall, which strengthens headline presence and gives mixed-case settings a distinctly stylized texture.
