A classic text serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and bracketed serifs that taper to crisp, slightly flared terminals. The proportions are moderately condensed in the capitals with a stately rhythm, while the lowercase shows a short x-height and relatively tall ascenders/descenders for an elegant, bookish texture. Curves carry a gentle calligraphic stress and the joins stay clean and controlled, producing a smooth, even color in continuous text despite the high contrast. Numerals appear oldstyle with varied heights and lively shapes that blend naturally with lowercase text.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classical serif voice is desired. It also performs nicely for headings, pull quotes, and formal collateral when paired with ample spacing to let the contrast and serifs read cleanly.

The overall tone feels traditional and cultivated, with a quiet authority suited to established institutions and editorial settings. Its sharp details and restrained, classical construction convey seriousness and refinement rather than playfulness.

Designed to deliver a conventional, highly legible serif voice with a refined, classical feel, balancing crisp detailing with steady text rhythm. The inclusion of oldstyle numerals and the short x-height point toward a tradition-oriented reading experience and typographic polish.

The font’s high-contrast strokes and small interior spaces in some letters suggest it will look best with comfortable sizes and leading, especially in dense paragraphs. In display sizes, the pointed serifs and elegant curves become a defining character feature.
