This serif shows strongly modeled strokes with clear contrast and a calligraphic, old-style skeleton. Serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, with pointed terminals that give the forms a crisp, chiseled edge. The capitals are broad and stately, with generous interior spaces and a slightly irregular, hand-influenced rhythm across curves and joins. Lowercase letters sit on a comparatively short x-height, with tall ascenders and deep, sometimes dramatic descenders (notably in g, j, p, q, and y). Numerals are similarly high-contrast and proportionally varied, with open bowls and angled entry/exit strokes that keep them lively in text.

Well suited to editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired—book jackets, chapter titles, pull quotes, and magazine features. It can also work for refined packaging and branding that wants a traditional, human touch, particularly in headings and short-to-medium reading passages.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, balancing refinement with a faintly rustic, hand-cut character. It feels authoritative and classical without becoming rigid, thanks to subtle calligraphic motion in the stroke endings and the slightly lively proportions.

The design appears intended to evoke a traditional old-style reading experience with pronounced stroke modeling and hand-influenced details, offering a distinctive texture for editorial and display settings while maintaining familiar serif structures.

The face reads best when given room: the strong contrast and sharp terminals benefit from moderate sizes and comfortable line spacing. In the sample text, the rhythm is energetic, and the angular details (especially on diagonals and curved terminals) add texture that can become a defining stylistic feature in headlines.
