A serif text face with softly bracketed, slightly flared serifs and gently modulated strokes that suggest broad-nib influence without becoming formal. The capitals are stately and relatively open, with rounded bowls (C, O) and a distinctive Q featuring a long, sweeping tail. Lowercase forms show a compact x-height and lively, humanist construction: the a is two-storey, the g is two-storey with a rounded lower loop, and the e has a modest, slightly angled cross-stroke. Curves and joins feel elastic rather than geometric, with subtle asymmetries that keep texture from becoming rigid; numerals follow the same old-style rhythm with open shapes and smooth terminals.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture and warm, humanist forms are desired. It also works effectively for chapter titles, pull quotes, and refined print collateral that benefits from a traditional, literary tone.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a calm, cultured presence that reads as editorial rather than corporate. Its mild calligraphic warmth adds approachability, while the crisp serifs and measured proportions maintain a refined, authoritative voice.

The design appears intended to provide a comfortable, classical reading experience with subtle calligraphic liveliness—prioritizing familiar text conventions, clear structure, and an elegant, time-tested voice for continuous typography.

In text, the rhythm is even and comfortable, with clear word shapes driven by strong ascenders/descenders and a relatively small x-height. The italic is not shown; the roman carries most of the expressive character through bracketed serifs, tapered strokes, and distinctive uppercase details.
