An italic serif with slender strokes and crisp, slab-like feet that read as squared and slightly tapered at the ends. Letterforms lean consistently to the right with a calligraphic rhythm, showing subtle stroke modulation and occasional curved entry/exit strokes that soften the otherwise angular construction. Capitals are narrow and classical in proportion, while lowercase forms are more fluid, with looped descenders (notably in g, j, y) and compact bowls that keep texture even in continuous text. Numerals follow the same slanted, pen-informed logic, with open counters and straightforward, readable silhouettes.

Well-suited for editorial typography where an italic voice is needed—book passages, quotations, introductions, captions, and scholarly notes. It can also serve for elegant subheads or display lines where a traditional, slightly calligraphic italic texture is desirable without becoming overly ornate.

The font conveys an old-style, bookish tone—refined and slightly quaint—combining a formal italic voice with a touch of handwritten character. Its mix of crisp slabs and gentle curves suggests traditional printing and scholarly editorial work rather than modern minimalism.

The design appears intended to provide a classic italic companion with sturdy, squared serifs and a clear, traditional text rhythm—balancing printed authority with a subtle pen-drawn warmth for literary and editorial settings.

Serifs and terminals tend to be blunt and squared, but the joins and transitions retain a drawn quality, creating a lively baseline and a gently varied word shape. Spacing appears comfortable in the sample text, producing an even, readable gray with noticeable italic momentum.
