A condensed serif with tall proportions, long ascenders/descenders, and a steady, even rhythm. Strokes stay largely uniform, while many terminals subtly widen into flared endings, creating a sculpted, engraved look without heavy contrast. Serifs are narrow and tapered, often bracketed, and the overall construction favors verticality with compact counters and crisp joins. Numerals follow the same tall, narrow model, with clear silhouettes and consistent stem treatment.

Well-suited to headlines, magazine and newspaper-style titling, and poster work where a compact width is useful. It can also serve book covers, labels, and branding that needs a traditional serif voice with added character. In longer text, it will work most comfortably when given adequate size and leading to keep the narrow counters from closing in.

The tone is classic and slightly dramatic—evoking vintage editorial typography, old playbills, and bookish display settings. Its narrow stance and flared details feel authoritative and refined, with a hint of theatrical flair.

Designed to deliver a space-efficient, vertically oriented serif voice that feels traditional yet distinctive through flared terminals and crisp, tapered serifs. The goal appears to be strong headline presence and an engraved, heritage-inflected texture while maintaining straightforward readability.

The face reads best at medium to large sizes where the flared terminals and tight internal spaces remain clear. Curves are controlled and slightly squared-off in places, reinforcing a disciplined, column-like texture in words and headlines.
