A sculpted serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and a mostly vertical stress. Stems terminate in tapered, flared serif forms with visible bracketing, giving the joins a carved, calligraphic feel rather than a flat slab finish. Capitals are tall and stately with crisp apexes and generous interior space; curves are smooth and tightly controlled, while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) show sharp, chiseled terminals. The lowercase keeps a traditional book face structure with compact bowls, a two-storey a, and a narrow, upright rhythm; digits echo the same contrast and flared endings for consistent texture in mixed settings.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style headlines, section openers, and pull quotes where contrast and serif detailing can shine. It can also serve as a text face for books or long-form editorial when set with adequate spacing, and it fits brand systems that aim for heritage, authority, or luxury positioning.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, projecting confidence and heritage. Its sharp contrast and flared details add a sense of drama and craft, making the voice feel premium and institutionally credible rather than casual or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif conventions with a more sculpted, flared terminal treatment, producing a familiar reading skeleton with a distinctive, crafted finish. It prioritizes strong presence and typographic tone, offering a classic voice with added visual bite for editorial and branding contexts.

In text, the strong contrast and dark stems create a dense, emphatic color that reads best when given comfortable size and leading. The flared terminals and bracketed serifs provide a distinctive signature at display sizes while still maintaining a classic, bookish structure for longer passages.
