This is a high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and fuller main stems, producing a crisp, elegant texture on the page. Serifs are finely bracketed and neatly finished, with a slightly calligraphic modulation that gives strokes a lively rhythm without looking ornate. Uppercase forms are stately and well-proportioned, while lowercase shows clear traditional construction—two-storey a and g, a narrow, pointed w, and compact joins that keep counters open. Numerals appear lining and evenly set, matching the text color and contrast of the letters.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, and it also performs confidently for magazine headlines, chapter openers, and pull quotes. The pronounced contrast and crisp details make it especially effective in larger sizes for refined titles, invitations, and formal stationery.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, evoking book typography and established publishing conventions. Its strong contrast and sharp terminals lend a sense of sophistication and authority, making it feel more formal than casual.

The design appears intended as a conventional, old-style-to-transitional text serif that balances readability with a distinctly elegant, high-contrast finish. It aims to provide a dependable literary tone for publishing while offering enough sharpness and refinement to work in headline settings.

In continuous text, the font creates a polished, slightly bright color thanks to its thin hairlines and clean interior spaces. The spacing and proportions read as conventional and disciplined, supporting a steady reading rhythm while still showing a refined, display-friendly sheen at larger sizes.
