A sturdy serif with compact proportions and visibly roughened, inked edges that create a textured silhouette. Strokes are fairly even with gentle modulation, and the serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, giving terminals a softened, worn-in feel. Counters are moderately open, apertures tend toward the closed side, and the overall rhythm is lively due to small irregularities in curves and stroke endings. Numerals follow the same robust, slightly distressed construction and sit comfortably alongside the letters.

Well-suited to short-to-medium text where texture is an asset: headlines, pull quotes, book and album covers, poster copy, and packaging. It can also work for editorial styling and themed branding when you want a classic serif structure with a distressed, analog finish.

The texture and softened details evoke printed ephemera—typewriter pages, stamped headings, and aged book typography. It feels practical and workmanlike, but with a human, imperfect character that reads as nostalgic and tactile rather than strictly formal.

The design appears intended to combine conventional serif letterforms with a deliberately weathered surface, preserving readability while adding the impression of ink, impression, or age. The result is a familiar text-serif foundation that communicates authenticity and a printed, archival mood.

The lowercase is compact with sturdy stems and rounded joins, and the punctuation and curves show consistent edge noise that reads like ink spread or letterpress wear. In longer lines, the grain adds color and presence, so spacing and line length will influence perceived darkness.
