This typeface presents a sharp, high-contrast serif structure with tapered strokes and subtly flared terminals that give stems a chiseled, calligraphic finish. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like rather than slabby, and curves show smooth modulation from thick to thin. The capitals feel stately and moderately wide with clear, sculpted bowls (notably in C, G, O, Q) and crisp diagonal joins in letters like N, V, W, and X. Lowercase forms are traditional and readable, with a two-storey a and g, a slender f, and a compact, clean rhythm that stays even in paragraph setting. Numerals follow the same contrast and tapering, reading as classic lining figures with firm, angular serifs.

Well-suited to editorial design, long-form reading, and literary publishing where a classic serif voice is desirable. It also performs effectively for display use—headlines, pull quotes, and refined brand applications—where the high contrast and tapered terminals can add sophistication.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, with a bookish, editorial voice. The sharp contrast and flared finishing details add a sense of sophistication and formality, leaning more toward timeless print tradition than utilitarian neutrality.

The design appears intended to reinterpret traditional serif typography with pronounced contrast and flared, calligraphic endings, aiming for a refined, print-forward character that balances readability with decorative crispness.

In text, the strong thick–thin modulation creates a lively vertical rhythm and crisp word shapes, while the tapered joins and wedge serifs add sparkle at larger sizes. The design’s pointed terminals and narrow hairlines can appear especially delicate where strokes thin out, contributing to an elegant, engraved-like impression.
