A bold serif with compact lowercase proportions and a lively, slightly irregular color. Strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation with sturdy verticals, wedge-like terminals, and bracketed serifs that often flare into triangular feet. Many curves and joins exhibit subtle nicks and roughened edges, giving a lightly distressed, ink-worn texture while maintaining clear, conventional letterforms. Counters are moderate and apertures tend to be somewhat closed, creating a dense, emphatic rhythm in text.

Best suited for headlines and short-to-medium text where a strong, traditional serif voice is needed—editorial titles, book jackets, pull quotes, and packaging that benefits from a vintage print texture. It can work in larger body sizes, but the dense color and textured edges suggest avoiding very small sizes or low-contrast reproduction.

The overall tone feels vintage and print-forward, like letterpress or worn newspaper headlines. Its dark, textured presence reads assertive and slightly rugged, balancing traditional bookish forms with a handmade, imperfect finish.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with extra personality through high contrast, pronounced serifs, and a deliberately roughened, inked texture. It aims to evoke heritage printing and add punch to editorial or display typography without departing from familiar, readable structures.

Capitals are broad and weighty with strong horizontal serifs, while the lowercase remains compact with relatively small bowls and a short x-height, contributing to a classic, old-style flavor. Numerals are hefty and high-contrast, matching the display-ready weight and adding to the poster-like impact.
