A sturdy serif face with bracketed serifs, rounded joins, and a noticeably textured, inked edge that mimics worn printing or letterpress. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation with tapered terminals and occasional asymmetry, giving counters a lively, slightly irregular rhythm. Proportions are generous and open, with a moderate x-height and clear differentiation between capitals and lowercase. Figures follow the same old-style, slightly organic construction, maintaining the distressed stroke character across the set.

Well suited to display-driven typography where texture and historical flavor are assets—book covers, editorial titles, posters, and branding systems that want a classic printed feel. It can work for short passages or pull quotes when a traditional voice is desired, especially in print-like compositions where the rough edge contributes to the aesthetic.

The overall tone feels historical and hand-influenced—warm, literary, and a bit rugged, like printed matter from an earlier era. The roughened contours add a tactile, crafted character that reads as authentic rather than polished, leaning toward traditional storytelling and archival atmospheres.

The design appears intended to blend old-style serif construction with a deliberately worn, inked texture, evoking analog printing and hand-made typography. Its goal is to provide a confident, readable serif with added character for expressive headlines and heritage-leaning identities.

The intentional edge noise and softened corners become more apparent at larger sizes, where the irregularities read as texture rather than blur. At smaller sizes, the strong modulation and distressed outlines may reduce crispness compared with cleaner text serifs, but the basic letterforms remain robust and recognizable.
