A robust italic serif with bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic, right-leaning construction. Strokes show clear (but not extreme) thick–thin modulation with an oblique stress, and many joins resolve into tapered, teardrop-like terminals. Capitals are broad and slightly swashed in feel, with energetic entry and exit strokes that create a lively, slightly uneven rhythm across words. Lowercase forms are compact with a moderate x-height, pronounced ascenders, and rounded counters; figures follow the same italic logic with angled spines and curved terminals for a cohesive texture.

Works well for editorial settings such as book and magazine typography, especially where a strong italic is needed for emphasis, subheads, or pull quotes. It can also serve in short headlines and formal printed materials where a traditional serif voice with spirited movement is desirable.

The overall tone is classic and literary, projecting a confident, old-style seriousness with a hint of flourish. Its strong italic voice feels editorial and rhetorical—suited to emphasis that still reads as traditional rather than decorative.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic text-serif impression with an italic that feels genuinely drawn rather than mechanically slanted, balancing readability with expressive, calligraphic detailing.

The texture in running text is dark and assertive, with noticeable motion from the consistent slant and the recurring tapered terminals. Curved letters (like C, G, O, S) maintain smooth, continuous bowls, while diagonals and serifs add a crisp, formal edge that keeps the face from feeling soft.
