This typeface is a serif design with a distinctly angular, faceted construction. Strokes show pronounced contrast, with thick verticals and slimmer connecting strokes, while many curves are treated as chamfered or octagonal forms—especially evident in O/Q and the round counters of lowercase. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like, and terminals often end in clipped, triangular or beveled shapes that create a crisp, carved rhythm across words. The lowercase follows a conventional text structure but keeps the same hard-edged detailing, with compact bowls and a slightly gothic, calligraphic flavor in joins and ears; figures are similarly angular and upright, designed to sit firmly on the baseline.

Best suited for headlines, mastheads, and other display applications where its angular detailing can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial blurbs, packaging, and book-cover typography that aims for a classic or historic voice, while extended small-size reading may feel intense due to the sharp texture.

The overall tone feels traditional and formal, with a historic, old-style gravitas. Its chiseled, blackletter-adjacent details add a sense of ceremony and authority, making the texture read as deliberate and emphatic rather than casual.

The design appears intended to merge conventional serif readability with a more historic, engraved or blackletter-influenced character. Its faceted curves and wedge serifs suggest an aim for strong presence and an old-world tone without fully adopting a true gothic script.

In text, the sharp joins and pointed serifs create a lively, spiky color that stands out at display sizes. The faceting in round letters contributes to a consistent “engraved” feel across both capitals and lowercase, and the wide, confident capitals give headings a strong, declarative presence.
