A high-contrast serif with crisp, tapered strokes and finely cut bracketed serifs. The letterforms show a vertical, composed posture with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp joins that create a clean, glossy texture in text. Capitals are stately and open, with generous internal spaces, while lowercase forms keep a steady rhythm and clear counters; the two-storey a and g reinforce a traditional text-serif voice. Numerals and punctuation match the same calligraphic contrast and sharp terminal treatment, producing a polished, print-oriented color.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and long-form reading where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly for display use—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—where its sharp contrast and crisp serifs can read as premium and authoritative.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting refinement and authority rather than warmth or playfulness. Its sharp contrast and neatly sculpted serifs feel bookish and traditional, with a slightly luxurious, high-end finish suited to formal settings.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly refined text serif that balances traditional construction with a more polished, high-contrast finish. Its consistent serif treatment and disciplined rhythm suggest a focus on legibility and typographic credibility in editorial and publishing contexts.

In continuous text the strong contrast creates a lively sparkle, especially at larger sizes, while the wide, open counters help preserve clarity. The design leans on conventional proportions and familiar serif structures, giving it an immediately recognizable, traditional reading feel.
