A conventional text serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply tapered hairlines. Serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, giving strokes a sculpted, ink-trace feel rather than a purely geometric construction. Proportions are moderately narrow in many capitals with clear vertical stress and crisp terminals; curves are full and controlled, and joins are clean. Lowercase shows traditional forms with a two-storey a and g, compact counters, and a steady, print-oriented rhythm; numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with strong verticals and delicate connecting strokes.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and book-cover titling where high contrast and crisp detail can be appreciated. It can also work for short-form reading in brochures or formal communications, especially when paired with ample leading and comfortable measure.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and refinement. Its strong contrast and sharp finishing details add a slightly dramatic, high-end flavor that feels suited to established institutions and classic publishing. The letterforms read as confident and serious, with a distinctly “printed page” character.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, book-derived serif voice with elevated contrast and refined finishing, balancing tradition with enough sharpness to stand out in modern editorial settings.

At display sizes the fine hairlines and pointed terminals become a key part of the personality, creating sparkle and tension against the heavier stems. In longer text, the dense color and compact counters can feel weighty, suggesting careful use of size and spacing depending on the medium.
