This serif shows a traditional, book-oriented construction with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed serifs. Curves are smooth and generously drawn, with open counters and slightly tapered strokes that keep letters crisp at display sizes while remaining readable in text. The lowercase has a compact, sturdy rhythm with a two-storey “a” and “g,” a narrow, upright “e,” and ball-like terminals appearing in select forms (notably on the “y”). Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with clearly differentiated shapes and sharp finishing details.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs effectively for magazine headlines and section openers, where the contrast and crisp serifs can provide authority and hierarchy without sacrificing clarity.

The overall tone is established and literary, suggesting the look of classic printing and editorial typography. Its contrast and sharp serifs add a refined, slightly formal voice, while the open forms keep it from feeling overly ornate. The result reads as trustworthy and traditional, with a polished, publication-ready character.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances classic proportions with crisp finishing for contemporary publishing. Its consistent modulation and restrained detailing suggest a focus on reliable readability and a timeless, editorial aesthetic.

Capitals are stately with wide, stable proportions and clear serif articulation, giving headings a composed presence. Diagonals (such as in V/W/X/Y) stay clean and sharp, and round letters like O/Q maintain a controlled, even contour with a distinct Q tail. Spacing appears measured and even in the sample text, supporting continuous reading.
