This typeface is a slanted serif with a calligraphic, humanist construction and noticeable (but not extreme) thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with tapered stroke endings that give many letters a sharpened, chiseled finish. Curves are smooth and generous, counters are open, and the rhythm is lively, with a forward-leaning stance and subtly varying character widths that keep words from feeling rigid. Uppercase forms feel stately and classical, while the lowercase shows cursive influence in the joins, terminals, and the angled stress.

It performs well in editorial contexts—magazine features, book typography, and cultured branding—where a sophisticated italic voice is needed. The strong italic character and sharp terminals make it particularly effective for pull quotes, headings, and title treatments, while remaining readable for short-to-medium passages of text.

The overall tone is cultured and literary, balancing elegance with an energetic, handwritten undercurrent. It reads as traditional and authoritative rather than playful, with a refined, editorial voice suited to serious messaging.

The design appears intended to provide a classical, high-contrast italic with a distinctly calligraphic feel, combining traditional serif structure with flared, tapered endings for added elegance and motion. It prioritizes a refined reading texture and expressive emphasis without becoming decorative.

Large sizes show crisp detailing in the terminals and serifs, and the slant adds momentum to long lines. The numerals share the same calligraphic stress and tapered finishing, keeping text and figures visually consistent in running copy.
