A crisp, high-contrast serif with bracketed serifs and a steady, upright stance. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation with relatively sharp joins and clean terminals, giving capitals a stately, engraved feel while maintaining smooth curves in rounds like C, O, and Q. Proportions are moderately compact with clear counters and consistent baseline rhythm; the lowercase balances sturdy stems with slightly more calligraphic detailing in letters like a, g, and y. Numerals match the text color well, with sturdy verticals and traditional serifed forms that read as bookish and conventional.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and other long-form print where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly in display settings such as headings, pull quotes, and formal collateral that benefits from a classic, authoritative texture.

The font conveys a classic, literary tone associated with traditional publishing and established institutions. Its sharp contrast and disciplined structure feel formal and authoritative, while the rounded forms keep it from feeling overly austere.

The design appears intended as a conventional, publication-oriented serif that prioritizes classical proportions and a refined thick–thin rhythm. Its goal is to deliver a familiar, dependable reading voice with enough contrast and crispness to carry hierarchy in editorial typography.

In running text, the strong stroke modulation and pronounced serifs create a dark, decisive texture that works best when given adequate size and spacing. The overall rhythm is even and composed, emphasizing clarity and tradition over overt personality.
