A high-contrast serif with sculpted, tapering strokes and pronounced bracketed serifs that flare subtly at terminals. Vertical stems read weighty and steady while hairlines and joins sharpen into fine points, producing a crisp, engraved rhythm. Counters are relatively compact and the overall color is dark and authoritative; capitals feel broad and monumental, while lowercase forms keep a traditional, two-story structure (notably in a and g) with clear ball-like terminals on details such as i/j. Numerals share the same dramatic thick–thin modulation, with angled stress and pointed joins that keep them crisp at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, magazine display, and brand marks where contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It works well for luxury or heritage-leaning identities, packaging, and poster typography, and is most effective when given room (comfortable tracking and line spacing) in longer display lines.

The tone is assertive and ceremonial, mixing classical bookish cues with a fashionable, high-drama contrast. It suggests prestige and tradition while still feeling sharp and contemporary in large, impactful settings.

The design appears intended as a dramatic display serif: a classical foundation refined with strong thick–thin modulation and flared, tapered terminals to deliver impact, elegance, and a premium editorial presence.

In the sample text, tight interior spaces and strong contrast create a dense typographic texture; the face rewards generous sizing and careful spacing to prevent dark areas from closing up. The diagonal strokes (V/W/X/Y) show particularly sharp, knife-like transitions that amplify the energetic, cut-stone character.
