A conventional serif with sturdy, bracketed serifs and a pronounced thick–thin stroke pattern. The design favors broad proportions and generous counters, with round forms that stay open even at heavier weight. Terminals are mostly cut cleanly, while some joins and curves show subtle softness that keeps the texture from feeling overly rigid. Capitals are strong and slightly expansive, and the overall rhythm reads even and composed across words and lines.

Well suited to editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, from magazine features to book work. The weight and contrast also make it effective for headlines, title treatments, and branding that benefits from a traditional, established feel. It can carry short-to-medium text blocks confidently, especially where a richer typographic color is acceptable.

The font conveys a traditional, confident tone associated with established print typography. Its strong contrast and substantial letterforms feel authoritative and slightly ceremonial, making text appear intentional and curated rather than casual.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional text-serif model by combining familiar bookish structures with a bolder, more expansive presence. It aims for readability and authority while delivering enough contrast and heft to perform in display settings.

In text, the face builds a dark, stable color with clear word shapes, aided by wide forms and consistent serif treatment. The numerals share the same sturdy, high-contrast construction, supporting a cohesive typographic palette in mixed text and figures.
