A distressed serif with compact proportions and a noticeably roughened, ink-worn texture throughout. Strokes show uneven edges and occasional interior speckling, mimicking imperfect printing or aged letterpress impressions. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with irregular terminals that keep the outlines lively without collapsing legibility. Uppercase forms feel sturdy and traditional, while lowercase shows tighter counters and a short x-height that adds a period flavor and a slightly formal rhythm.

Well-suited to book covers, film or event posters, and themed packaging where an aged print feel is desirable. It works especially well for display typography—titles, pull quotes, and short editorial blocks—where the distressed texture can be appreciated without sacrificing readability.

The overall tone is antique and slightly ominous, like old book typography that has been handled, copied, or weathered over time. Its rough surface introduces a handmade, narrative quality—evoking folklore, mystery, and archival ephemera rather than clean modern minimalism.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice while layering in deliberate wear, as if pulled from an old press run or scanned from vintage printed matter. Its goal is to add atmosphere and authenticity through texture while keeping familiar letterforms for clear communication.

In text settings, the texture remains prominent even at moderate sizes, so spacing and color read as intentionally mottled rather than smooth. Numerals and caps carry the same worn imprint, supporting cohesive headings and short passages where character is prioritized over pristine consistency.
