A high-contrast italic serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a pronounced diagonal stress. The letterforms show elegant, calligraphic modulation: thin hairlines and terminals are paired with weighty stems, and curves are smoothly sculpted with generous counters. Proportions feel slightly expansive with roomy sidebearings, while the slanted rhythm stays even and controlled across capitals, lowercase, and figures. Numerals follow the same italic logic, with clear thick–thin transitions and traditional, serifed shaping.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, book jackets, and literary branding where a classic italic voice is needed. It can also serve as a strong companion italic for serif text families in pull quotes, headings, and emphasis, especially when a refined, high-contrast texture is desired.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, evoking bookish refinement and a sense of established authority. Its italic stance adds momentum and sophistication, making the texture feel lively without becoming flamboyant.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, text-serifs italic with a distinctly classical flavor—prioritizing graceful modulation, clear serif structure, and a steady slanted rhythm that reads as formal and editorial.

Capitals present a dignified, inscriptional feel with broad curves and firmly planted serifs, while lowercase forms keep a readable, text-oriented structure with distinct entry/exit strokes. The sample text shows strong word-shape formation and a consistent diagonal flow, creating a smooth, classical paragraph color at display-to-subhead sizes.
