A heavy, display-oriented serif with aggressively roughened contours that look chipped, torn, and uneven, as if printed from worn type or a distressed block. Strokes show strong contrast, with pronounced thick verticals and finer joins, while serifs are blunt and irregular rather than cleanly bracketed. Counters and bowls are slightly misshapen, and widths vary noticeably from glyph to glyph, producing a restless rhythm. Lowercase forms sit compactly with a relatively short x-height, and the overall texture reads as intentionally degraded ink on paper.

Best suited for short, high-impact settings such as posters, titles, chapter heads, and branding where texture is desirable. It can work for themed packaging or labels that aim for an antique or handmade feel, but the rough edges and lively widths make it less appropriate for long reading passages at small sizes.

The font conveys an aged, gritty atmosphere with a slightly ominous edge—evoking old posters, gothic storybook headings, and weathered letterpress ephemera. Its distressed finish adds urgency and drama, making the tone feel raw, handmade, and a bit theatrical.

The design appears intended to mimic historical serif letterforms while layering on deliberate wear—like eroded metal type or a rough woodcut impression—to add narrative texture and mood in display typography.

The distressed treatment is consistent across caps, lowercase, and numerals, creating a cohesive “worn print” texture at text sizes. The heaviest visual weight sits in the capitals, which dominate with jagged terminals and rugged silhouettes.
