A heavy, slab-serif letterform with strongly irregular, worn edges that mimic ink spread and damaged printing. Strokes are chunky and dark, with jagged bite marks along curves and terminals, producing a visibly textured silhouette. Serifs are short and blocky, and many joins and counters appear slightly clogged, giving the face a dense, distressed color. Proportions are uneven across glyphs with a deliberately inconsistent rhythm, reinforcing a handmade or degraded impression while remaining broadly readable in display sizes.

Best suited to display work where texture is an asset: posters, title treatments, book and album covers, packaging, event flyers, and brand marks seeking an aged or gritty voice. It can also work for short bursts of copy—pull quotes or section headers—when set large enough to preserve the rough detail.

The font conveys a gritty, timeworn tone—like an old broadside, wanted poster, or mis-inked letterpress. Its rough texture adds menace and drama, leaning toward gothic/pulp storytelling and frontier or saloon-era atmosphere. Overall, it feels loud, imperfect, and attention-grabbing rather than refined.

The design appears intended to simulate worn metal type or degraded ink impressions, delivering a theatrical, vintage-printed look with deliberately rough contours. It prioritizes character and atmosphere over smooth uniformity, aiming for immediate impact and period flavor.

In running text, the distressed perimeter and heavy weight create strong visual noise; smaller sizes and tight spacing can cause counters to fill in and reduce clarity. The most effective results come from giving the letters room and letting the texture function as a primary stylistic feature.
