A traditional serif with sturdy, slightly condensed proportions and bracketed serifs, rendered with an intentionally worn, speckled texture throughout the strokes. The letterforms keep a conventional text rhythm—clear stems, moderate contrast, and familiar proportions—while irregular interior counters and pitted edges introduce a handcrafted, printed-on-paper feel. Curves are full and rounded (notably in O/C/S), terminals are bluntly finished by the texture, and overall spacing remains readable despite the roughened surface.

Well-suited for display roles where a vintage, tactile impression is desirable: posters, editorial headlines, book covers, packaging, labels, and branding accents. It can also work for short passages or pull quotes when set at comfortable sizes that allow the distressed details to remain legible.

The texture and uneven inking evoke vintage printing, old book typography, and letterpress ephemera. It feels warm, tactile, and slightly rugged—more nostalgic and artisanal than pristine or corporate.

Designed to deliver a conventional serif reading structure while adding a deliberately aged, ink-worn surface to simulate historical print texture. The goal appears to be approachable readability paired with a nostalgic, handcrafted atmosphere for display-oriented typography.

The distressed pattern is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, suggesting the texture is a core part of the design rather than incidental noise. At larger sizes the speckling reads as character and materiality; at smaller sizes it may visually fill in fine details, so generous sizes and solid backgrounds will best preserve clarity.
