A wide, oldstyle-influenced serif with bracketed, slightly flared terminals and softly sculpted strokes. The forms are robust and open, with round counters and a gently irregular rhythm that feels intentionally hand-touched rather than mechanically rigid. A distinctive internal speckle/engraved texture appears throughout the black areas, giving the letters a printed, weathered character while keeping the overall contrast moderate and the silhouette clear. Capitals have broad, confident proportions, while lowercase maintains readable, conventional structures with subtly decorative joins and terminals.

Best suited to display settings such as posters, packaging, and brand marks where the speckled engraving can read as a deliberate material effect. It also works for book covers and editorial headlines that want a classic serif voice with added character; for body copy, it will be most effective at larger sizes where the texture remains legible.

The texture and softly irregular detailing suggest a vintage, craft-oriented tone—part antique letterpress, part storybook display. It feels friendly and theatrical rather than formal, lending an inviting, slightly whimsical character to headlines and short passages.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with a built-in decorative texture, evoking aged print and handcrafted signage. It aims to balance familiarity and readability with a distinctive surface treatment that signals heritage and personality.

The internal texture is the dominant signature: it adds visual noise that enriches large sizes but can reduce clarity as sizes get small or when viewed at a distance. The overall spacing and proportions look comfortable and traditional, with enough stylistic personality to stand out without becoming overly ornate.
