This typeface is a slanted serif with a distinctly calligraphic construction and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes taper into sharp terminals and softly bracketed serifs, with smooth curves and a lively, angled axis. Capitals feel measured and slightly narrow with crisp serifs, while the lowercase is more fluid, featuring long extenders and compact bodies that keep the x-height visually modest. Overall spacing and rhythm favor continuous, handwritten-like movement rather than rigid symmetry, and the figures follow the same refined, high-contrast patterning.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a traditional, expressive serif is desired, especially for literary or cultural subject matter. It also performs nicely in refined display roles—chapter openings, pull quotes, invitations, and branding—where its tapered strokes and lively rhythm can be appreciated at larger sizes.

The overall tone is cultured and literary, with an elegant, old-world polish that still feels human and approachable. Its slant and pen-like modulation add a sense of motion and personality, making text feel more expressive than purely formal. The result reads as refined and classic, with a gentle warmth rather than stark modernity.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib or pointed-pen writing into a readable serif italic, balancing classical letterforms with a more personal, hand-influenced cadence. It aims to provide an elegant texture and graceful motion in running text while retaining enough structure for formal typography.

The italic angle is consistent across the alphabet, and several letters show distinctive swash-like strokes and tapered entries that reinforce a pen-driven logic. The contrast is strong enough to look delicate at small sizes, while at larger sizes it emphasizes the graceful curves and sharp finishing details. Numerals appear proportioned for text use, matching the same slanted, calligraphic stress and serif treatment.
