This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with hairline joins and sharp, tapered terminals. Serifs are finely bracketed and generally wedge-like, giving strokes a crisp, engraved feel while maintaining a conventional text rhythm. Uppercase forms are stately and moderately wide, with a strong vertical axis and clean, high-contrast curves (notably in C, G, O, and Q). Lowercase keeps a traditional book face structure with two-storey a and g, compact joins, and slightly flared exits; numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with elegant curves and slender horizontals.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, literary layouts, and book work where a refined serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly for headlines, pull quotes, and formal branding applications that benefit from high-contrast detail and a classic, authoritative presence.

The overall tone is formal and cultured, with a distinctly editorial character. It reads as polished and authoritative—more suited to refined settings than casual or playful ones—evoking the look of classic publishing and upscale print design.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional text serif with elevated contrast and a more luxurious, print-oriented finish. Its controlled proportions and sharpened details suggest a focus on sophistication and clarity in editorial contexts, while still supporting emphatic display use at larger sizes.

At larger sizes the hairlines and delicate serifs become a defining feature, creating sparkle and a sharp typographic color. In longer passages it produces a crisp, high-contrast texture, with round letters contributing smooth counters and a composed, traditional cadence.
