A high-contrast serif with a pronounced thick–thin rhythm, crisp hairlines, and weighty vertical stems. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, giving strokes a carved, sculptural finish rather than a purely mechanical feel. Uppercase forms are broad and steady with pointed apexes (notably in A and W) and rounded bowls that stay taut at the joins. Lowercase shows compact, sturdy shapes with clear, traditional proportions and a single-storey g, plus tapered terminals that add bite to counters and joins; numerals follow the same strong contrast and robust presence.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, posters, magazine titles, and book cover typography where its contrast and sculpted details can be appreciated. It can also serve branding and packaging that wants a classic, premium voice, especially when set with generous spacing and comfortable line height.

The overall tone is assertive and refined, with an editorial seriousness that reads as classic and slightly theatrical. Its sharp hairlines and deep contrast create a sense of luxury and ceremony, while the sturdy main strokes keep it grounded and authoritative.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with elevated contrast and sharpened details for impact. It aims for a traditional, literary structure while pushing a more dramatic, attention-grabbing texture appropriate for editorial and promotional typography.

Stroke modulation follows a calligraphic logic, with thin horizontals and prominent vertical emphasis that becomes especially noticeable in larger sizes. Tight internal spaces in some letters at this weight give it a dense, headline-forward color, and the pointed, wedge-like terminals contribute to a distinctive, slightly engraved feel.
