A slanted, calligraphic serif with a steady pen-driven rhythm and subtly tapered terminals. Strokes show noticeable modulation with clear thick–thin transitions, while serifs are small and softly bracketed, lending an engraved, bookish finish rather than sharp display drama. Capitals are restrained and slightly narrow, with smooth curves and gentle entry/exit strokes; lowercase forms are open and readable, with a single-storey a and g and a narrow, flowing ductus. Figures are oldstyle-leaning in feel, sharing the same oblique axis and delicately cupped terminals, keeping texture even across mixed text.

Well-suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed—introductions, captions, pull quotes, and literary headings—as well as refined brand identities and stationery. It also works for invitation-style applications when a formal, classic tone is desired without fully connected script behavior.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, evoking formal correspondence and classic publishing. Its slant and pen-like contrast add warmth and a sense of cultivated movement, while the controlled proportions keep it composed and authoritative.

The font appears designed to capture the disciplined feel of a broad-nib or chancery-inspired italic in a practical, text-friendly form. It prioritizes an elegant reading texture and consistent calligraphic stress over showy swashes, aiming for a dependable “formal italic” personality across letters and numerals.

Letterforms maintain consistent angle and spacing, producing a cohesive italic color in paragraphs. The design favors clarity over ornament: flourishes are minimal, with most character coming from the calligraphic stress, curved joins, and gently shaped serifs.
