A sturdy serif design with compact proportions and a firm vertical stance, rendered with noticeably irregular, roughened contours. Strokes feel ink-heavy and slightly uneven, with small nicks and bite-like notches along stems, bowls, and serifs that create a distressed, printed texture. Serifs are pronounced but not slabby, and the overall construction stays legible while embracing a worn, analog finish. Curves are full and somewhat chunky, while joins and terminals show deliberate irregularity that breaks the otherwise classic serif rhythm.

It works especially well for display to medium text in applications that benefit from a historic or handmade impression—posters, book jackets, editorial headlines, labels, and heritage branding. In longer passages it can be effective when generous size and spacing are available, helping the distressed details read as intentional texture rather than noise.

The font conveys a weathered, old-world tone—suggesting letterpress, broadsides, and well-handled printed matter. Its texture adds grit and warmth, balancing seriousness with a handcrafted, imperfect charm that feels archival and story-driven.

The design appears intended to merge a traditional serif foundation with an intentionally worn, ink-bitten surface, capturing the character of aged print and imperfect impression. The goal is legibility with atmosphere: a classic text voice augmented by tactile, analog grit for evocative titles and themed communication.

In running text the texture remains consistent across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, producing a lively “ink on paper” shimmer. The distressed edges add personality but can visually darken paragraphs at smaller sizes, where the roughness becomes more dominant than the underlying serif forms.
