A low-contrast serif with sturdy, squared slab-like serifs and mostly straight, clean joins. Strokes stay fairly even throughout, with gentle modulation and rounded curves that keep counters open and readable. The capitals are proportioned with a traditional, book-oriented rhythm, while the lowercase shows a single-storey “g” and a two-storey “a,” giving a familiar text-face texture. Terminals are predominantly flat and crisp, and the numerals follow an old-style-influenced, readable pattern that sits comfortably in running text.

This design is well suited to body copy in books, essays, journals, and other editorial settings where clarity over long passages matters. It can also support headings and subheads when a traditional, scholarly voice is desired, especially in print-like layouts.

The overall tone feels classic and literary, leaning toward traditional print typography rather than display novelty. Its steady, no-nonsense shapes read as trustworthy and institutional, with a subtly warm, human touch from the rounded curves and open forms.

The font appears intended as a practical, print-rooted serif that balances firmness from slab-like serifs with comfortable readability in paragraphs. It aims to deliver a conventional, reliable texture for longform composition while retaining enough character to feel established and professional.

Spacing and proportions appear tuned for continuous reading, with clear differentiation between similar forms (for example, I/J and O/0 are distinct in the samples). The serifs add strong horizontal emphasis, helping lines track smoothly at paragraph sizes without feeling overly ornate.
