A traditional serif with bracketed serifs, crisp hairlines, and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The capitals are broad and steady with restrained, triangular serifs and slightly flared terminals, while the lowercase shows compact, calligraphic structure and moderate apertures. Curves (notably in C, G, O, and S) are smoothly modeled with clear contrast, and joins remain clean and controlled rather than overly sharp. Figures are lining and proportionally varied, with strong vertical stress and elegant diagonal strokes in characters like V, W, and Y.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and reports, as well as editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong capitals and high-contrast modeling also make it effective for display use such as chapter openers, pull quotes, and refined brand applications in print.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, evoking book typography, institutional print, and traditional publishing. Its contrast and sharpness lend a sense of authority and seriousness, while the bracketed serifs keep it approachable and readable rather than ornamental.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, publication-friendly serif with a clear contrast-driven structure and a disciplined, traditional rhythm. It aims for dependable legibility and a classic voice while preserving a polished, print-oriented finish.

In text, the font maintains an even rhythm with distinct letterforms and clear differentiation between similar shapes. The heavy verticals and fine horizontals create a crisp texture at larger sizes, and the pronounced contrast suggests care should be taken in very small settings or on low-resolution surfaces where hairlines may soften.
