A high-contrast serif with stout verticals and hairline-like joins and terminals, creating a strongly sculpted light–dark rhythm. The serifs are wedgey and flared with pronounced bracketing, giving many strokes a carved, expanding finish rather than a flat slab. Curves are taut and slightly pinched in places, and several joins show a crisp, chiseled transition that reads almost like subtle ink traps. Proportions feel traditional with compact counters in capitals and a sturdy, slightly condensed presence in text.

Best suited to headlines, deck type, and pull quotes where the contrast and flared detailing can be appreciated. It also fits premium branding and packaging, especially where a classic-yet-dramatic serif voice is desired. For long passages, it will be more comfortable at larger sizes with generous spacing.

The face projects an editorial, fashion-forward tone—formal and assertive with a touch of theatricality. Its sharp contrast and flared endings add a sense of ceremony and sophistication, making even simple words feel emphatic and styled.

The design appears intended to merge classical serif proportions with more expressive, flared finishing, producing a refined display serif that feels both traditional and stylized. Its consistent sculpting and controlled contrast suggest a focus on impactful, high-visibility typography rather than quiet neutrality.

In the text sample, the strong vertical stress and tight interior spaces create dense, punchy lines that favor display sizes. Numerals follow the same sculpted contrast, with distinctive angled cuts and flared terminals that reinforce the overall engraved character.
