A high-contrast roman with crisp, bracketed serifs and a pronounced vertical stress. Strokes move from very thin hairlines to sturdy main stems, with sharp, clean terminals and neatly tapered joins. Proportions lean slightly condensed in many capitals while round letters stay generously open; curves are smooth and controlled, and counters remain clear even where hairlines get delicate. Lowercase forms are traditional and readable, with a two-storey a and g, compact shoulders, and a steady baseline rhythm that looks composed in text.

Well suited to magazine typography, book jackets, and brand systems that want a classic, cultivated voice. It performs especially well for headlines, pull quotes, and short-to-medium text where its contrast and sharp serifs can contribute sparkle and hierarchy.

The overall tone is polished and editorial, combining a classical bookish voice with a slightly fashion-forward sharpness. Its contrast and fine detailing give it an elegant, premium feel, while the consistent structure keeps it authoritative rather than decorative.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on classic roman typography: traditional letterforms refined with crisp, high-contrast detailing for an elegant, premium page color. It aims to balance readability with a distinctly editorial, high-end presence.

The numerals follow the same contrast-driven logic, with distinctive silhouettes and fine hairline connections that favor display and quality printing. In the sample text, the strong thick–thin pattern creates a lively texture and clear word shapes, but the thinnest strokes suggest it benefits from adequate size and resolution.
