A robust text serif with strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and pronounced stroke modulation. Curves are full and compact, with narrow interior counters and a steady, vertical stress that reads crisp at display sizes. Terminals frequently resolve into teardrop and ball-like shapes (notably in lowercases such as a, c, e, and g), giving the face a distinctive, slightly sculpted finish. Uppercase forms are sturdy and emphatic, while the lowercase keeps a traditional rhythm with a moderate x-height and short-to-moderate ascenders/descenders, supporting dense, dark typographic color.

Well-suited to editorial design where a strong, classic serif voice is desired—magazine headlines, section openers, and pull quotes in particular. It can also serve for book typography in larger text sizes or sturdy chapter titling, and for premium packaging or branding that benefits from a traditional, authoritative tone.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and seriousness with a touch of vintage warmth. Its dramatic modulation and assertive serifs lend it a confident, headline-ready presence that still feels rooted in conventional book typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif framework with heightened drama and presence: familiar proportions and reading rhythm paired with expressive terminals and emphatic serifs for strong impact in editorial settings.

The numerals appear oldstyle in spirit, with varied widths and lively curves that match the texty, calligraphic influence of the lowercase. The heavy typographic color and tight apertures suggest best results with comfortable tracking and generous leading in continuous reading.
