A serif display face with a deliberately rough, uneven outline that suggests worn printing or hand-cut letterforms. Strokes keep an overall consistent weight but show subtle swelling and tapering, with jagged terminals and slightly blunted serifs that vary from glyph to glyph. Counters are open and simple, while curves (notably in C, G, O, and S) wobble gently rather than forming perfect geometry. The lowercase is compact with a modest footprint and a comparatively low x-height, giving text a classic, bookish cadence, while spacing and widths fluctuate enough to add a handmade rhythm.

Well-suited for display typography where atmosphere is the priority: posters, event or festival branding, boutique packaging, labels, and book or chapter titles. It can work for short passages in themed layouts (e.g., folklore, historical, or rustic concepts), but is most effective for headlines, pull quotes, and titling where its texture and uneven edges remain distinct.

The texture and irregularity give the font an old-world, artisanal tone—evoking vintage print, folklore, and rustic signage. It feels informal and human, with a slightly spooky or gothic-leaning storybook character depending on setting and contrast.

The letterforms appear designed to simulate imperfect, analog production—like aged letterpress, stamped type, or hand-carved signage—while staying recognizable and readable. The goal is to add narrative texture and period flavor without drifting into illegibility.

In paragraph samples, the distressed edges remain visible and consistent, creating a tactile, ink-on-paper effect. The design reads best when the texture can be appreciated; at smaller sizes the roughness may merge into darker silhouettes, especially around tight joins and smaller counters.
