A high-contrast serif with sharply defined thick–thin transitions and crisp, bracketed wedge serifs. The letterforms show a classical, calligraphic construction: narrow joins, tapered terminals, and strong vertical stress in rounded characters. Capitals are stately with generous curves and fine hairlines, while lowercase forms keep a traditional text rhythm with slightly compact counters and clear, pointed details (notably in a, e, r, and t). Numerals follow the same contrast and finish, with elegant curves on 2 and 3 and a more linear, sharply serifed 1 and 4.

Well suited to editorial design, long-form reading layouts, and book or magazine typography where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs strongly for headlines, pull quotes, and refined brand applications that benefit from sharp detail and a traditional, authoritative presence.

The overall tone is polished and literary, leaning toward traditional print typography. Its sharp serifs and pronounced contrast convey formality and authority, with an understated elegance suited to premium editorial contexts.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical book serif model: preserving calligraphic stress and traditional proportions while emphasizing crisp, high-contrast detailing for a refined, print-forward look.

In the text sample, the face maintains a steady horizontal color despite the strong contrast, helped by sturdy vertical stems and consistent serif treatment. The design reads as more display-leaning at larger sizes due to the fine hairlines and crisp joins, while still retaining the proportions and structure associated with conventional text serifs.
