A clear slab-serif with sturdy, rectangular serifs and a mostly even stroke color. Serifs read as bold and flat-ended with slight bracketing in places, giving joins a softened transition rather than a hard cutoff. The capitals are proportioned and restrained, with rounded bowls (C, G, O, Q) and straight-sided stems that keep the texture steady in paragraphs. Lowercase forms are straightforward and highly legible; the two-storey a and g, compact e, and plain, vertical terminals reinforce an editorial, book-type feel. Numerals are open and readable with consistent alignment and a calm, print-oriented rhythm.

Well suited for body text in books, longform editorial, and report-style layouts where sustained readability and a steady typographic color matter. It also fits academic or institutional applications—headings, subheads, and captions—when a traditional slab-serif voice is desired without heavy ornament.

The tone is traditional and composed, leaning academic and institutional rather than decorative. Its slab serifs add firmness and authority, while the overall drawing stays approachable and familiar, producing a dependable, text-forward personality.

The design appears intended as a robust, general-purpose slab serif that reads cleanly at text sizes while projecting authority. Its conventional letterforms and controlled contrast aim to deliver dependable legibility and a timeless, print-oriented character.

In continuous text the face maintains a stable gray value and clear word shapes, aided by generous counters and unambiguous letterforms. The glyph set shown favors conventional constructions over stylistic flair, supporting predictable reading patterns and a mature, print-centric presence.
