This typeface is an upright display serif with sharp, triangular terminals and uneven, distressed contours that mimic worn ink or scratched engraving. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin contrast with frequent tapering, producing pointed joins and blade-like serifs. Many bowls and counters include subtle interior echoes or double-stroke artifacts, giving letters a lightly engraved, hand-printed feel. Proportions are irregular and lively, with a comparatively low x-height and varied glyph widths that create a restless rhythm in text.

Best suited for display applications such as posters, event promotions, book or game covers, and title sequences where a spooky or antique mood is desired. It can also work well on packaging and labels for themed products, especially when paired with simple supporting typography.

The overall tone feels darkly playful—part gothic, part storybook—balancing menace with whimsy. Its ragged edges and spiky terminals suggest occult, fantasy, or Halloween atmospheres, while the ornamental quirks add a theatrical, vintage character.

The design appears intended to evoke an aged, imperfect printing or engraved-lettering aesthetic with dramatic, high-contrast forms. Its irregularities and pointed serif language aim to deliver immediate thematic impact rather than quiet readability, prioritizing mood and character in headlines and titles.

In longer lines the textured edges and internal contouring create a busy color, making the face most effective at larger sizes where its distressed details remain intentional rather than noisy. Numerals share the same scratchy, ink-worn personality and maintain the high-contrast, tapered construction seen in the letters.
