A decorative serif with sharp, splintered terminals and rough, ink-worn contours. Strokes show pronounced contrast, with thick stems tapering quickly into hairlines and thorn-like spur details, creating an irregular, hand-inked edge throughout. Counters are often uneven and partially pinched, and several forms carry asymmetrical hooks, notches, and stray-looking flicks that give the alphabet a slightly unstable rhythm. Proportions vary noticeably from glyph to glyph, with compact rounds (notably O-like shapes) contrasted by taller, spikier verticals and angular diagonals, producing an intentionally uneven texture in lines of text.

Best suited to short display settings where its scratchy contrast and spiked serifs can be appreciated: horror and fantasy titles, Halloween promotions, game or film key art, event posters, book covers, and atmospheric branding accents. It can also work for pull quotes or headers when paired with a simpler text face.

The overall tone is eerie and theatrical, evoking occult ephemera, old chapbooks, and horror titling. Its jagged details and distressed ink character read as ominous and story-driven rather than refined or neutral.

The design appears intended to mimic distressed, hand-rendered display lettering with a gothic flavor—combining high-contrast strokes with deliberately broken edges and thorny terminals to create a dramatic, unsettling voice.

In continuous text, the distressed edge detail becomes a strong surface texture, especially at smaller sizes where spikes and nicks start to visually merge. The letterforms remain broadly recognizable, but the irregular interiors and thorned terminals make it most effective when the texture is allowed to be part of the message.
