A condensed slab serif with sturdy, mostly unbracketed terminals and a low-contrast stroke pattern. The letterforms show a slightly irregular, hand-cut feel: stems can taper subtly, curves are a bit pinched, and joins create crisp, angular inflections. Counters are relatively tight, with compact bowls and narrow apertures that keep the texture dense. Uppercase forms are tall and narrow, while lowercase shows occasional calligraphic quirks (notably in the single-storey a and g, and the loopier j), giving the overall rhythm a lively, uneven cadence.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and titling where its condensed footprint and distinctive slab terminals can create a memorable voice. It can also work for packaging, labels, and book-cover typography that benefits from a vintage/editorial texture, especially at medium to large sizes.

The font reads as old-print and slightly eccentric—evoking early 20th-century editorial typography, posters, and utilitarian print with a touch of personality. Its narrow stance and assertive slabs lend it a firm, authoritative tone, while the idiosyncratic curves and spiky details add character and a hint of whimsy.

The design appears intended to reinterpret condensed slab-serif typography with a deliberate, slightly roughened personality—balancing sturdy, square-ended serifs with subtly irregular curves and tightened spacing to deliver an expressive, old-print flavor.

In text, the narrow widths create a strong vertical emphasis and a busy, dark color; the lively outlines keep it from feeling mechanical. Numerals follow the same condensed, slabbed construction and appear designed to hold up in headline-style settings where character is as important as neutrality.
