A serifed display face with old-style proportions and a deliberately distressed, jagged silhouette. Strokes show pronounced contrast with sharp, tapered joins and irregular terminals that form thorn-like points along stems, serifs, and curves. The letterforms keep a largely upright stance and readable classic skeletons, but edges are roughened and uneven to mimic worn ink or chipped engraving. Counters are moderately open and the rhythm feels organic rather than mechanical, with small variations in contour and serif shape contributing to a handcrafted texture.

Best suited to display settings where atmosphere is as important as clarity—posters, title cards, book or game covers, album artwork, and themed packaging. It performs well in short passages, pull quotes, and headings where its distressed detailing can be appreciated without overwhelming the reading flow.

The overall tone is dark and theatrical, blending antique bookish cues with a horror-leaning edge. Its spurred, ink-bitten details suggest occult, gothic, and folklore associations while still retaining enough traditional structure to read as historical rather than futuristic.

The design appears intended to fuse a traditional serif foundation with an intentionally roughened, thorny finish, creating a historic-yet-sinister display voice. It aims to evoke aged print and hand-worked forms while adding dramatic edge through exaggerated, irregular terminals and textured outlines.

In text, the spiky contouring becomes a consistent surface texture, especially noticeable on vertical strokes and at cap serifs. Numerals and lowercase maintain the same distressed treatment, giving a cohesive voice across headings and short lines, though the busy edges can visually accumulate at smaller sizes.
