A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a strong vertical axis. Stems are sturdy while cross-strokes and serifs taper to very fine hairlines, creating crisp, high-definition edges. Serifs are delicate and largely unbracketed, with clean, straight feet and sharp beaks on some capitals; curves are smooth and controlled with tight apertures and neatly finished terminals. Proportions feel slightly expanded with generous set width, and the overall rhythm alternates confidently between bold main strokes and needle-like details.

Best suited to display contexts where its hairlines can render cleanly: magazine and newspaper headlines, book and film titles, luxury branding, and formal invitations. It can work for short text blocks or pull quotes at comfortable sizes, where the contrast remains clear without the thin strokes breaking down.

The tone is poised and polished, with a distinctly editorial sophistication. Its dramatic contrast and sharp finishing convey luxury, seriousness, and a classic bookish authority—more gala-program than casual note.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a classical high-contrast serif for impactful editorial typography—maximizing elegance and hierarchy through dramatic modulation, sharp serifs, and confident, slightly roomy proportions.

In the sample text, the high contrast produces striking headlines but also introduces fragility in small counters and hairline connections, especially around diagonal joins and thin crossbars. Numerals follow the same contrast logic and read with a stately, old-world crispness in larger sizes.
